College Baseball to do list:
Every day do the following:
Check the scores,
Read the write-ups here, and here, and in your local paper.
Later in the year it will be important to check stats and rankings at Boyd’s and Nolan’s, but not now, it’s too early.
And then go to the ballpark and support your favorite team!

Sorenson's Top Teams →
ESPN is paying for it, and Sorenson who doesn’t even like polls, is ranking ‘em this year. How is your team doing so far?
#1 Stanford is doing great. They should have no problem with UT this weekend.

Blue Hole →
The “old swimming hole” doesn’t get much better than Blue Hole in Wimberley. Clear, cool water, magnificent cypress and rope swings.

Space Oddity: Or Why Baseball is Better Than... →
Haven’t read the rest of the posts, but…my mind is already made up.

Does football not enthuse you? Would you rather watch a fifth straight pick off throw to first base than see another play action pass? Don’t worry, it’s completely acceptable and you’re in good company. So even if you’re hootin’ and hollerin’ and enjoying the pizza and beer, if you notice that...

Already thinking about the June draft? →
Baseball America has a divided view of College Baseball. On the one hand they are fans and enjoy reporting on the game. Aaron Fitt (and John Manuel) has become quite knowledgeable about the schools, the coaches and the players and attends a lot of games. I enjoy his reporting.
On the other hand, BA sees college only as a minor-league for pro ball and the players as “talent,” not as...

"Spring Training" for college baseball...
…started yesterday (January 27). If you live in Texas, the weather was remarkably warm. This is the time of year when northern schools envy the south for it’s more moderate weather. Who knows what will blow through in the next 3 weeks, but opening day is just around the corner.
