The winner in the Best Chili Rellenos of New Mexico contest
From Tim’s Stray Dog Cantina in the Taos Ski Valley
These rellenos are lightly breaded with blue corn flower. They are stuffed with a white cheese. The spice level is Hatch Hot. The side is vegetarian green chili — also spicy and delicious.
Second place (lower picture) goes to Orlando’s in Taos. These rellenos are the best you’ve ever eaten, unless you’ve been to Tim’s. They are topped with green chili, and sides of posole and beans.
